      Yes.

      When we use the word ‘theory’ in science, we don’t mean ‘guess’ or ‘educated guess’. That’s what we call a ‘hypothesis’. A theory is a framework for explaining which emerges from the ‘scientific method’. Which involves constantly disproving hypotheses until you understand what is going on.

      So, you see, it’s not really a case of ‘believing’ in the Theory of Evolution by Means of Natural Selection. It’s simply that all evidence points towards it being the explanation for how life evolved.

      There are some aspects of it I disagree with. For example, Darwin’s ‘tree of life’ idea has since been discredited and replaced with a ‘web of life’.
