• Question: is it possible to bring back dodo birds

      If we could find some Dodo bird DNA, then this is possible, although it would be very difficult.

      Maybe in a not too distant future! We’d need DNA of some frozen animal probably, so that it could still be intact.
      Not sure dodos would be very happy in our current world though… they were solitary animals, never adapted to competing with other species or predators. They would most likely need a very protected environment to survive.

      If we could find the full, intact genome of a Dodo, or make an informed prediction of what it was so we could synthesise it, then I don’t see why not.

      I’m not sure we should, though.
