• Question: why is it that on earth a man can sink straight into earth but on mars they can only stand on mars, theres nothing to sink into

      I guess mars is probably too dry to be having quicksand or any other soft person trapping ground. They’ll be in trouble if they find some and drive Curiosity into it.

      The dust on the surface of mars is can be soft – one of the little rovers (spirit) got bogged down and is now dead (out of battery) because of the soft sand.
