• Question: Can you define the definition of insanity?

      “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to be different each time.”

      (people think that Einstein said this, but it wasn’t him. We don’t know who said it first.)

      Insanity is a really difficult word to define as it has so many possible meanings.

      It’s usually used as a one size fits all word for any behaviour that is ‘different’ to how society expects a person to behave.

      It’s a very un-scientific word.

      It seems to have a pretty wide range of definitions from “extreme foolishness” to being “seriously mentally ill”.

      The definition of insanity is a pathetic attempt to describe what we do not understand.
