I love practical work, it was a big factor in me wanting to do a PhD. Also, the higher up in education you ge the more cool and interesting practicals become.

My car is pretty eco friendly, it’s a very small 1 litre citroen saxo but I still try and ride my bike as much as I can as an alternative.

Yes, practical work is almost always one of the best bits of the job.

My car is more eco-friendly than some in that it’s small and fuel efficient, but the main reason it’s eco-friendly is that I drive it as little as possible and commute by the nice electric hybrid buses in Oxford instead.

I love practical work, but the nature of crystallography means that the big discoveries tend to happen when I’m sat in front of a computer.

I have a Diesel car (Mitzubishi ASX) that my wife drives to work.

I walk and get the train to work so my carbon footprint is pretty small 😀

I love practical work! It’s the best part of being a scientist!

And yes, my car is very eco-friendly. This is because I don’t own a car and cycle everywhere!

Yes, I do, I get bored if it’s only theory! My car is somewhat eco-friendly, it’s a Dacia Sandero and it runs on LPG 🙂
