      There are a couple of meaning for quantization, in its simples form it is being able to quantify something, or putting a number to something. In that case things like weigth, height, speed, voltage and countless others.

      It is also a type of processing in music to remove fluctuations in rythum.

      In physics it represents the change from classical mechanics to quantum mechanics. I have no idea what that really means but maybe a physicist can answer that.

      If you mean quantized in terms of quantum theory, light is the classic example.

      A photon of light (light particles) = 1 quantum of light.

      Energy transfer for example, you cannot transfer any amount of energy to an atom. There are only certain amounts that it will take.
