Good question – The use beacons from the NASA deep space network and super accurate models of the solar system.

Did you know that Voyager 2, a space probe launched in 1977 arrived at the planet Neptune, 12 years and 7 billion kilometers later in 1989, it arrived accurate to the second.

      Simply amazing accuracy!

When you think that sailors still managed to travel around the planet without even knowing its shape or if it had an end… it’s not surprising that we can nowadays navigate in space with all the technology and knowledge we have. But it is still very cool 🙂 I was so proud of the Mars Rover landing too!

Space compas and star maps? But probably a little more fancy than that.
