      Hi Charlotte,

Arthritis is the what we call it when the cartilage in your joints starts to fall apart.
Cartilage is a soft jelly like substance that we produce that lubricates our joints. It is like our version of a car’s suspension.

When the cartilage falls apart, the bones in our joints rub and grate over each other, which makes it very painful to move.
