The world would be the same. But I think that humans and human society would be very different.

We wouldn’t know about our place in the universe, and I think a great many discoveries and insights have come about because of our interests in the cosmos and cosmology.

I think the world would be much poorer without telescopes. I really like my telescope 🙂

No, Science has a way to put things into perspective and it does change our mentality and our decisions. Knowing more about the universe and other planets has definitely influenced religion and everyone’s personal beliefs.

I think our curiosity about space has driven so much great work in science, so no, our world would not be the same without telescopes.

However, I think our curiosity is so great that I can’t imagine a scenario where we would not have invented telescopes! A species that didn’t do things like that just wouldn’t be human!

The universe sure would seem a whole lot smaller without telescopes. I don’t think it would really be possible for humans to spend so much time looking up at the stars and not decide they want to see more. That’s the brilliant thing about being human, we’re unstoppably curious.
