• Question: my friend has anounced he is gay what shall i do?

      Be accepting and supportive.
      His sexuality doesn’t change who he is and shouldn’t really have any impact on your friendship with him.

      Don’t treat him any differently to how you did before.

      Support him and make sure he knows you’ll be around for him, particularly when it comes to him telling his family (if he hasn’t already).

      Also, don’t tell anyone. It’s his choice if he wants to tell people or not.

      I don’t think there is anything you need to do. Your friend is still the same person they were before so there’s no need to treat them differently to before. As long as you are respectful and supportive of their life choice that is all that matters.

      He’s still the same person as before, so the only thing you really need to do is carry on being a bit friend.

      Change nothing, for him as for you that is a perfectly normal thing and it should have no impact on your friendship.
