Do a google image search for lemurs and tarsiers. These creatures are probably the most similar to what we would have looked like.

If you want to look back even further, google colugos and tree shrews.

We were smaller apes like lemurs, and before that we were rodents. 🙂

As Ben and David have said, smaller monkeys and lemurs etc.

The important thing to remember about evolution is that its not just a straight progression. As you move away from the common ancestor we get branches of new species and those branches get even more branches. So although our common ancestor is a monkey etc we were never actually a monkey. When we evolved we stopped being a monkey and became a new species which eventually evolved into homo spaiens.
